Clownfish, sustainability consultancy part of Aegis Media, opens operations in Italy

Clownfish, the London-based sustainability and communications consultancy part of Aegis Media, has opened offices Milan, Italy. After opening in New York and Shanghai within the last eighteen months, Clownfish is building a global network to help brands to understand and address sustainability issues.
Aegis Media Italy switches to renewable energySince the 1st of May 2009 Aegis Media Italy sources its electricity from renewable sources (solar, wind, hydroelectric).
The media powerhouse, including agencies like Carat, Vizeum and Isobar, is using RECS (Renewable Energy Certificate System) certifications to have evidence of the production of renewable energy equivalent to its own consumption. ENEL is the energy provider for the more than 400 Aegis Media Italy employees. Clean energy won’t cost Aegis more than previously used energy.
Switching to renewables is part of the “Green Bean” project, Aegis Media Italy commitment to sustainability. Among other achievements to date, a national recycling waste policy and the usage of FSC certified paper only.

Act Now wants to implement operational efficiencies that can save natural resources and reduce waste. July 2007 - Havas commitment to greener working practices. ZeroCO2 carbon neutral after having calculated and offset its main carbon emissions in 2006, including electricity and gas consumption, paper use and business travel. Havas has started a focused internal process to reduce this by 20 percent by 2009. This will primarily affect paper use, transport and other key sources of carbon emissions. The reduction program will be supported by an internal awareness campaign and training programs to help employees reduce their impact on the environment.
